What Equipment do you Require for a Home Car Wash
In no particular order, the below items are recommended.
– Good quality hose pipe, we recommend 19 mm (3/4 inch) to ensure good water flow to the pressure washer
– Pressure washer
– Foam Cannon
– Good quality foaming chemical or car wash chemical – do not use degreaser or dish washing chemical on painted surfaces or it will strip the wax coatings. A good quality touchless foaming chemical saves time in the cleaning process.
– Underbody cleaner (for off-roaders)
– Short vario power nozzle to get into the hard to reach places
– Vacuum cleaner with hard and soft brushes, upholstery nozzle and crevice nozzle.
– Spray extraction cleaner with upholstery nozzle (if you want to deep clean carpets, seats and upholstered surfaces).
– Good quality chemical for the spray extraction cleaner. Liquid or powder, used in the correct dosage – do not use too much chemical as it will attract dirt if not thoroughly rinsed out of the surface.
– Chamois
– Sponge
– Microfibre cloths
– Rim cleaning chemical
– Insect removing chemical
All of the above are available from Karcher Center ITS, besides the chamois, sponge and microfibre cloths, which are available at most supermarkets.
